Q. Answer the following questions in about 30 words:
Q. 1. Why did the man think of capturing the horse? (
मनुष्य ने घोड़े को पकड़ने का विचार क्यों किया? ..
Ans. Man thought of capturing the horse because he was bent under the weight of his burdens and he knew that he would be able to shift his burden on to its back
if he could capture it.
मनुष्य मे घोड़े को पकड़ने का विचार किया क्योंकि वह अपनी जिम्मेदारियों के वजन से झुका हुआ था और जानता था कि यदि वह घोड़े को पकड़ लेगा तो वह अपने वजन को उसकी पीठ पर हस्तान्तरित करने में समर्थ हो जाएगा।
Q.2. What did man do with the horse before keeping it confined in a prison?
उसे कारागार में बन्द रखने से पहले मनुष्य ने घोड़े के साथ क्या किया ?
Ans. Before keeping It confined in a prison man put a saddle on the horse’s back and a curb in its mouth.
कारागार में बन्द रखने से पहले मनुष्य ने घोड़े की पीठ पर काटी रखी और उसके मुह में लगाम लगाई।
Q.3. What special care did the Creator take in making the horse 3 What qualities did the horse acquire as a restult of this care?
घोडे को बनाने में स्रष्टा ने किस बात का विशष ध्यान रखा ? उसकी सावधानी के फलस्वरुप घोड़े ने क्या खास गुण अर्जित कर लिए?

स्रष्टा ने जो विशेष प्राणी बनाया उसमें उसने क्या विशिष्ट चालकियाँ प्रदान की, जैसा कि ‘The Horse पाठ में विया गया था ?
Ans. In making the horse the Creator took special care to employ only a little of the harder materials. The result was that the horse was full of the desire for
freedom. .
सष्टा ने घोड़े को बनाने में विशेष सावधानी वरती और कम मात्रा में कठोर तत्व लगाया। परिणामस्वरूप घोड़ा स्वच्छन्दता की कामना से परिपूर्ण था।
Q. 4. Was the horse really ungrateful to man?
क्या वास्तव में घोड़ा मनुष्य के प्रति अकृतज्ञ था ?
Ans. The horse was not all ungrateful to man. Man had not saved him from trouble.
घोड़ा मनुष्य के प्रति जरा भी अकृतज्ञ नहीं था। मनुष्य ने उसे परेशानी से नहीं बचाया था।
Q.5. What did the Creator say to man? And what was man’s reply to it?
स्रष्टा ने मनुष्य से क्या कहा ? और मनुष्य का उसके प्रति क्या उत्तर था ?
Ans. The Creator said to man that unless he set the horse free, he would give it teeth and claws like the tiger’s. Man replied that the horse did not deserve freedom.
स्रष्टा ने मनुष्य से कहा कि यदि वह घोड़े को स्वतन्त्र नहीं करेगा तो वह उसे चीते की भाति दाता और पंजे देगा। मनुष्य ने उत्तर दिया कि घोड़ा स्वतन्त्रता के योग्य नहीं है।

स्रष्टा ने क्यों सोचा कि घोड़े का निर्माण उसकी भयंकर भूल थी ? |
Ans. The Creator thought that the creation of horse was a blunder because it hopped like a frog and looked awkward.
सष्टा ने सोचा कि घोड़े का निर्माण एक भंयकर भूल थी क्योंकि यह मेढक की तरह उछलता था। तथा भद्दा दिखाई पड़ता था।
Q.7. What do you think are the distinctive characteristics of the horse, as described in the story?
आपके विचार से घोड़े के वे विशेष गुण क्या है जिनका कहानी में वर्णन है ?
Ans. As described in the story, the distinctive characteristics of the horse are its love of running, desire for freedom and disgust for bondage.
जैसा कि कहानी में वर्णन किया है घोड़े के विशेष गुण उसका दौड़ने के प्रति प्रेम, स्वच्छन्दता की आकांक्षा तथा बन्धन से घृणा है।
Q.8.Could man finally tame the horse? How?
क्या मनुष्य अन्त में घोड़े को पालतू बना सका ? कैसे ?
Ans. Yes, man could tame the horse. He took firm measures and used the whip.
हाँ, मनुष्य घोड़े को पालतू बना सका। उसने कड़ा रुख अपनाया और कोडे का प्रयोग किया।
Q. 9. Why was the Creator distressed?
सष्टा पीड़ित क्यों था?
Ans. The Creator has distressed because he found the horse in a pitiable condition.
स्रष्टा पीड़ित था क्योंकि उसे घोड़ा दयनीय स्थिति में दिखा।
Q.10. Why did the Creator grow red with shame when he saw the horse from heaven?
जब स्रष्टा ने घोड़े को स्वर्ग से देखा तो वह शर्म से लाल क्यों हो गया ?
Ans. The Creator realized that the horse He had created was one of His worst creations. So, He grew red with shame.
स्रष्टा ने महसूस किया कि घोड़े का निर्माण करना उसका सबसे खराब निर्माण था इसलिए वह शर्म से लाल हो गया।
Q.11. “A new idea struck the Creator’s mind”. What was that?
“एक नया विचार स्रष्टा के मस्तिष्क में आया। वह विचार क्या था?
Ans. The new idea that struck the Creator’s mind was of making a new species of animal.
सष्टा के मस्तिष्क में जो नया विचार आया वह जानवर की एक नई प्रजाति बनाने का था।
