Ans. Sanku was a labourer. He worked in a factory,
संकू एक मजदूर था। वह एक कारखाने में काम करता था। .

संकू की क्या समस्याएँ थी और उसने उन्हें हल करने की क्या योजना बनाई ?
Ans. Sanku’s problem was how to get money as he had to pay house rent, dues of the provision store and several other loans to be paid off. He planned to solve these problems only by stealing the gold watch of the engineer of the factory.
संकू की समस्या थी कि धन कैसे प्राप्त किया जाए क्योंकि उसे मकान का किराया, उपभोक्ता भण्डार का बकाया और कई अन्य कर्ज चुकता करने थे। उसने इस समस्या को हल करने के लिए कारखाने के इन्जीनियर की सोने की घड़ी चुराने की योजना बनाई।

Ans. Sanku did not get his sleep for several days because he was made upset by the problems of the house.

Ans. Sanku was not a habitual thief. He had tried several times but his fear and hesitation stopped him from stealing the watch in the beginning.
संकू आवलम चोर नहीं था। उसने कई बार प्रयास किया किन्तु उसके डर और झिझक ने, उसे प्रारम्भ में घड़ी चुरामे से रोक दिया।

Ans. Sanku imagined the rough treatment that he would receive from the people whom he owed money. These fearful thoughts made him decide that he had no other choice but to steal the gold watch.
संकू ने कर्ज देने वालों के बुरे व्यवहार के बारे में कल्पना की। इन डरावने विचारों ने संकू को घड़ी चुराने के विचार को दृद बना दिया।

संकू घड़ी चुराने से पहले दुविधा में था। उसका दिल जोर-जोर से धड़क रहा था। उसके घड़ी चुराने या न चुराने के विचार मिश्रित थे। वह पकड़े जाने से भयभीत था।

चोरी करने के पश्चात् संकू को किन विचारों ने परेशान किया?
Ans. After committing the theft Sanku was troubled by the thought that every one knew that he had stolen the watch. He would be caught, scolded and dismissed.
चोरी करने के बाद संकू इस विचार से परेशान था कि उसकी चोरी का हर किसी को पता था। वह पकड़ा जाएगा, भला-बुरा कहा जाएगा और नौकरी से हटा दिया जाएगा।
